The law's assumption that people know what bankers know about the latter's practices has, I would respectfully think, only limited reality. For many people, to sign a loan agreement like the present one will be to assume an indeterminate financial burden, and that in my view is not fair, at least unless the potential magnitude of the burden is clearly spelt out to them before they sign.
